During the walk, we explore the events that unfolded here and reflect together on how and why they took place. <\/p>\n<h3>The witchcraft trials<\/h3>\n<p>On May 19, 1669, the first six people of the witch trials in \u00c4lvdalen were sentenced and executed. This was followed by further \u2018witch executions\u2019 until 1676, when the period known as The Great Noise finally came to an end. In total, around three hundred people were beheaded in Sweden between 1668 and 1676, accused of witchcraft. Their bodies were then burned at the stake. And it all began here in \u00c4lvdalen.    <\/p>\n<h3>Good to know<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The tour takes about 2 hours and has a limited number of places.<\/li>\n<li>The tour is recommended for ages 15 and up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How could this happen?
