Information about the tour
We hike and bring to life the Ancient Trail at the Skinnarbodarna pasture. The trail winds through many different types of nature, such as lush moss-covered spruce forest, marshland, and pine forest. Here you will find remnants of human activity, and the traces tell of people’s lives and living conditions long ago. On stones from the 1950s, there are carvings from the 1700s and 1800s, which we try to interpret. The tour is characterized by discoveries and stories.
Good to know
- Varied, hilly terrain, partly no trail.
- Half-day, about 3 hours.
- Good hiking shoes are recommended
- No toilet on site.
- Meet at the parking lot at the bus station in Älvdalen. Own cars to Skinnarbodarna.
