Tunes from Älvdalen in all corners of the world – get to know one of Sweden’s largest entrepreneurs! Sweden’s largest manufacturer of musical instruments has its history in Älvdalen.

For more than half a century, the company Hagström in Älvdalen supplied Sweden and the world with accordions, electric guitars and amplifiers. From a one-man company housed in “Snus-Gustav’s” store in Älvdalen to a global group with over 400 employees in both factories and stores, traces of one of Sweden’s largest entrepreneurs testify.

At the museum you can see a selection of instruments from Hagström and learn about the company’s history. The museum is located on classic ground, the building that houses the museum was once part of Hagström’s factory buildings in central Älvdalen. The figures from the Hagström era are impressive: 700,000 accordions made, 130,000 electric guitars and basses, thousands of speakers and amplifiers and 70,000 Swedes trained at Hagström Music School. One of the world’s largest collections of Hagström guitars is today located in Älvdalen.
